Anaerobic adhesives are stable when in contact with oxygen in the air. The product is moulded between two interlocking metal parts and when the contact with oxygen ends, the polymerisation reaction starts and forms a strong, vibration and pressure resistant layer.

Bottle: 15mL, 50mL and 250mL
Large volume: 1kg and 10kg

It shows high resistance to leaks, corrosion, many chemicals, fuel oil, oils and gases. It is a product that can be easily selected and easily applied with its green colour. It eliminates the use of welding and double nuts in connections. It also allows filling of casting gaps. It is used in medium sized gears and does not require periodic disassembly.

The performance of the cured anaerobic adhesive was investigated and the torque values are given below.

  • Test method ISO 10964
  • Bolt and nut samples
  • Conditions 22°C

The environmental resistance of the cured adhesive was measured by applying ISO 10964 preloaded assembly test at different temperatures after curing.

  • Test method ISO 10964
  • Bolt and nut samples: Zinc plated, M10x25
  • Curing conditions and time: 22°C, 1 week
  • Torque test conditions (except high temperature withstand test): 22°C
  • Type of torque Breakaway torque (TBL)
  1. Before joining the male and female parts, clean them with an absorbent cloth or wipe to thoroughly remove the cutting oil.
  2. Apply the adhesive 360 degrees to the first threads of the male and female pipe fittings.
  3. Wipe off excess product in the direction of the teeth with an absorbent cloth or tissue.
  4. Assemble the parts and leave at 22-24°C for 24 hours to ensure complete curing.
  5. To disassemble, use hand tools when separating joined parts. If disassembly at room temperature is not possible, apply localised heating to 250°C and disassemble while hot. Then mechanically remove any remaining cured adhesive and clean the parts with a suitable solvent, e.g. acetone.

Store the product in its original container at 22°C and do not expose to direct sunlight. Storage at temperatures less than 5°C and more than 30°C may adversely affect product properties. Product removed from the original container may become contaminated during use and this may affect the adhesion performance and shelf life of the product. Therefore, do not return the contaminated product to its original container. Akfa Industry does not accept responsibility for products that are contaminated or stored in a manner other than the specified storage conditions.

Shelf life 36 months at 22°C
